Online class

Reflect on past travels and relax while learning some new skills for future adventures! Enjoy an at-home version of my popular “Travel Sketchbooking in Kyoto” course, where I’ll teach you the basics using Kyoto scenery as demonstrations to show you techniques you can apply to your own adventures. Or, if you prefer, I can customize the lesson to suit where you have traveled or are planning to travel in the future.

Experience “Travel Sketchbooking in Kyoto” at your pace from the comfort of your own home!

Personalized and tailored to your level/interests/style/goals, I build my instructions around each individual.

Learn watercolor and field sketching techniques that you can use immediately to create 3 paintings during our class. We’ll paint three beautiful Kyoto scenes: an old sake brewery, a bamboo grove, and the famous red gates of the Fushimi Inari. (Upon request, I can personalize this as well and offer alternative scenes or use your own photos: please contact me for details.)

I’ll also share plenty of tips for successful travel sketchbooking for your future adventures, and ways to practice and enjoy sketching at home too.

SUPPLIES For the class, you will need to have your own supplies on hand. I recommend a water brush pen (best for travel) plus a watercolor sketchbook (100% cotton watercolor paper) and watercolor paints. I will send a list of recommended brands and other details after your registration.
